The AVP of Innovation will report to the Senior Vice President & Chief Information Officer and will help manage the identification, assessment, and selection of innovative solutions, work as the company's primary contact with 25 m Health (and any other incubations), support the governance of company AI solutions as well as support the pursuit of strategic partnerships on behalf of LifePoint Health.
How you'll contribute
An AVP of Innovation who excels in this role:
- Works closely with the SVP and CIO to accomplish the goals and objectives of the IT strategic plan established in cooperation with the Board of Directors. 
- Provides thought leadership and management support across projects and teams to solve LifePoint's biggest challenges with original, impactful solutions. 
- Works collaboratively with Lifepoint's incubation arm, 25 m Health to ideate and co-incubate new companies.Also helps manage vendor relationships with Lifepoint or 25 m Health investments in companies. 
- Helps support the development, evaluation, and cascading of the enterprise-wide IT and AI strategic plan, in partnership with the SVP & CIO. 
- Chairs Lifepoint's AI Steering Committee. 
- Serves as a primary Point of Contact for AI governance including AI use case identification, ideation business case, approval and value measurement process.

What we're looking for
Applicants should have a Bachelor's Degree, Masters Degree preferred.
Additional requirements include:
- Minimum 5+ years progressive healthcare system strategy experience 
- Experience in consulting and with multihospital systems preferred 
- Experience working with venture studios or early-stage startup ecosystems, particularly in digital health.
