The Assistant Vice President, Strategic Operations, Ambulatory Application Optimization is responsible for supporting ambulatory clinical application optimization activities across the organization to align with strategic initiatives and organization objectives.
How you'll contribute
An AVP of Ambulatory Application Optimization who excels in this role:
Leads Senior Clinical Adoption Analysts, and Clinical Adoption Analysts to identify optimization needs such as patient visit workflow, provider efficiency and application optimization to ensure accuracy, timeliness, compliance requirements, etc.
Assists in development and management of department additions, system configuration, provider allocations, acquisitions, security role configuration, SOX compliance, template builds, order sets, and other system configuration needs
Update/upgrade coordination with HITS and local users to proactively identify end user impact and training while leading a clear execution strategy
Develop, lead and ensure optimal training programs are executed as designed along with obtaining feedback for ongoing improvement
Develop, lead, and maintain user group(s) to troubleshoot ongoing issues and resolutions related to ambulatory clinical application optimization
Lead ambulatory clinical application initiatives, monthly operational committees, and any identified application support activities
Lead efforts to identify method of prioritizing tasks, support escalation and coordination with ambulatory clinical application vendors (i.e. coordination with vendors such as Athena, Cerner, Epic, eCW)
Has a strong understanding of current and developing value based program and incentive programs such as Patient-Centered Medical Home (PCMH), Primary Care Transformation (PCT), Accountable Care Organizations, MIPS, and other emerging healthcare reform models to inform methods and solutions that are aligned around the clinical system work flows and processes

What we're looking for
Applicants should have bachelor's degree in a clinical related field. Additional requirements include:
Experience with EMR systems and ambulatory clinical workflows (Athena preferred, but any EMR acceptable).
Background in healthcare operations and business strategy, not just IT.
Proven record of leading large teams, scaling operations, and optimizing processes.
Strong communication and conflict resolution skills.
Experience in transformation and standardization is essential.
