Clerical Coordinator, Medical Associates of Athens 

Job Type: Full-time 

The Clerical Coordinator performs administrative/clerical duties in support of an assigned areaPerforms a range of clerical duties related to the support of operations of the practice including updating and organizing information in the practice; coordinating work within the practice and with other departments; reporting relevant information to the supervisor; and responding to inquiries and requests from patients, visitors and caregivers. 

Core competencies include, but are not limited to the following: 

  • Coordinates scheduling to ensure all shifts covered. 

  • In charge of front office staff. 

  • Responsible for training of front office staff. 

  • Facilitates communications among caregivers, patients and visitors to ensure the smooth and efficient flow of information. 

  • Collects payments from patients. 

  • Coordinates daily patient flow activities. 

  • Performs needed clerical / computer tasks to support patient care delivery, including copying, filing, and ordering/stocking supplies. 

  • Greets patients and visitors. Answers, screens, and routes telephone calls. 

  • Faxes and photocopies information as requested by staff. 

  • Ensures correct patient charges through chart review for revenue integrity.

Minimum EducationHigh school diploma / equivalent or equivalent work experience: □ Preferred X Required
