What you will do in this role:

  • Reportsdailyto theDirectorofPlantOperationsregardingthe physical and structural conditionsofhospital facilities and the statusofworkin progress.
  • Participates in the applications ofstandards ofqualityandproductivityfor thefacility.Followspolicies,procedures and standards ofworkperformance for maintenance and repairofequipment,buildingsandbuildingsystems.
  • Assistsinadministeringthe maintenance programto ensurethe uninterruptedoperation ofthe entirephysical plant.
  • Worksclosely with otherdepartmentsandadministration.Negotiatespriorities,plansworkschedules,completesjob assignments,and requestsordersofneededmaterials,supplies and pa
  • Performsandcompletesmaintenancerepairwork,alterations,remodeling,minorconstruction,andchecksoutinstallation and servicingofmechanical andelectrical equipmentandbuildingsystems.
  • Assistswithmaintainingstocklevelsofmaterialsand partswithin budgetaryconstraints.

Qualifications

  • HighSchool diplomaorthe equivalent
  • Atleast2 years’ experiencewithmaintenance preferablyin ahospital setting.
  • Familiarity with Joint Commission and other regulatorypolicyand procedures highly preferred.
  • Able to communicateeffectivelyinEnglish,bothverballyand in writing.
  • Basiccomputerknowledge.
