Position Summary:

Protects employees, patients and visitors of RGH.
Protects hospital supplies and equipment.
Enforces security and policies and procedures of the hospital and observes suspicious persons, disorderly gatherings, etc.
Assists in any injury, sickness, riot, fire, or similar events.

Provides for the safety and security of all persons (patients, visitors and staff) and propertyEnforces all federal, state and local laws as well as facility policies and proceduresMaintains professional competency by staying up-to-date on the changing trends of security procedures and practicesDemonstrates understanding of the proper guidelines for the use of force


Minimum EducationHigh school diploma or equivalent Required
Required SkillsRequires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.Certifications:Basic Life Support (BLS)Must receive within 30 days of hire.
Required Licenses[West Virginia, United States] Other
Valid WV driver's license
Minimum Work ExperienceWork experience in healthcare security and/or safety field preferred.
