How you'll contribute 

A Mental Health Counselor who excels in this role:

 Assist in the day to day operations and safety of the Adult Inpatient Unit/CTF (Transitions) including direct patient supervision and monitoring environmental and daily activities as directed by Charge RN or lead Mental Health Professional (MHP) staff. A critical attribute required of this position include excellent customer service consisting of an outgoing, positive attitude, a warm, friendly demeanor and the utmost care and reverence for our patients, coworkers, and families.

What we're looking for

 The Mental Health Counselor must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action. The requirements listed below are below representative of the knowledge, skills and abilities required:

  • Minimum Education High School diploma required. Associate's degree in social work, psychology, sociology or related field preferred
  •  Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action. Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) 
  • Bilingual and/or English-Spanish speaking preferred. Ability to work with culturally diverse population.
  • Licenses: Must have or apply for a Washington State Agency Affiliated Counselor within thirty (30) days of employment. 
  • May work as an agency affiliated counselor while the application is processed by the state, or possess current Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Mental Health Counselor Associate (LMHCA), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Associate (LMFTA), Licensed Advance Social Worker (LASW), Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW), Licensed Social Worker Associate & Advanced (LSWAA) as defined by the Washington State Department of Health.

Hourly range: $18.44- $25.97
