Who we are:

At Lifepoint Health, we provide quality healthcare to rural communities. As a valued member of our team, you will be an integral part of a group working together to elevate Lifepoint's healthcare delivery network. Our network includes 60+ community hospitals, 60+ rehabilitation/behavioral health hospitals, and 250 additional sites of care across the United States. This position will be supporting LBS, which is Lifepoint Business Services - a division with Lifepoint which will support People Services, Supply Chain Management, Finance, Medical Staffing Services and other functions through Oracle, UKG and other enabling technologies and processes.

What you’ll do:

The Assistant Vice President (AVP), Application Support and Release Management, is responsible for overseeing the processes related to application management including integrations, ERP architecture, security and controls and release management cycles within LBS. The AVP Application Support and Release Management, coordinates the planning, development, testing, deployment, and day to day maintenance of Oracle Fusion, Oracle OCI, UKG Dimension and other ancillary software applications within LBS, ensuring smooth and efficient application support and release cycles.

Responsibilities:

  •        Manage the entire lifecycle of applications, from requirements gathering and design to development, testing, deployment, and ongoing maintenance of Oracle ERP, UKG Dimensions and other ancillary systems like Vertex, RF-Smart.
  •        Collaborate with various teams, including development, testing, infrastructure, and operations, to plan and schedule software releases. Coordinate release activities, ensuring that all stakeholders are informed and aligned. 
  •        Continuously evaluate and improve release management processes, communications, and methodologies to enhance efficiency, quality, and reliability. Implement best practices and industry standards to streamline release cycles. 
  •        Establish and maintain version control and configuration management practices to track and manage changes to software applications and related artifacts. Ensure proper documentation and control of software configurations. 
  •        Identify potential risks and issues that may impact the release process and take proactive measures to mitigate them. Responsible for Audit of Oracle Fusion, Paas and OCI and related controls. Develop contingency plans to handle unexpected situations and minimize the impact on application availability and stability. 
  •        Responsible for managing a team supporting user provisioning and implementing controls within Oracle Fusion and UKG Dimensions to ensure compliance with organizational policies and data protection standards. 
  •        Collaborate with the testing team to define and implement effective testing strategies, ensuring thorough test coverage for applications. Review test plans and results to validate the readiness of applications for release. 
  •        Maintain strong communication channels with stakeholders, including development teams, project managers, business users, and senior management. Provide regular updates on release progress, status, and any associated risks or issues. 
  •        Work closely with the change management team to coordinate and communicate changes related to application releases. Ensure adherence to change management processes and policies. 
  •        Drive the implementation and adoption of continuous integration and deployment practices, enabling faster and more frequent releases while maintaining high-quality standards. 
  •        Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics related to release management. Generate reports and dashboards to provide insights into release cycles, release quality, and other relevant data. 
  •        Establish and maintain version control and configuration management practices to track and manage changes to software applications and related artifacts. Ensure proper documentation and control of software configurations.
  •        Develop contingency plans to handle unexpected situations and minimize the impact on application availability and stability.
  •        Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
  •        Perform other duties as assigned.

What you’ll need:

Education: Bachelor's Degree required, preferably in the areas of computer science, information technology, software engineering, or a related field. Master's Degree (preferred).

Experience:

  • A minimum of ten (10) or more years of experience with Oracle ERP. 
  •        Five (5) years or more in leadership Director or Senior Director role including software development lifecycle, release management processes, and the ability to handle the complexities involved in coordinating application releases.
  •        Experience being part of a shared service organization.
