What you’ll do:

In collaboration with the Director of Cardiovascular Services, the CV Auditor-Sr. Analyst is responsible for developing reports, auditing and reporting data related to the Society of Thoracic Surgeons (STS) Adult Cardiac Surgery Database and the National Cardiovascular Registry (NCDR) various registries. Other registries and audit functions may be included as well. The position will perform drill down analysis on all registry outliers across the Lifepoint Health system and identify outlier performance. Based on findings, the QIS will work with the Director of Cardiovascular Services to develop plans for remediation and training for markets to deploy. This role requires a high level of expertise in cardiovascular processes and the ability to train healthcare practitioners on current quality and safety measures. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical background, extensive exposure to cardiovascular healthcare, and exceptional attention to detail. Auditing skills are essential, along with the ability to identify and address outliers in care outcomes.

Responsibilities:

       Cardiovascular Registry Reporting and Auditing:

  • Clinical and compliance auditing of STS and NCDR registries.
  • Identification of outlier performance and root cause.
  • Communication with facilities to obtain and review all necessary documentation.

       Training/Education:

  • Prepares carries out trainings with cath lab directors and providers highlighting registry best practices and opportunities.
  •        Audits implantation of new standards identified for cardiovascular programs.
  •        Develop and generate detailed reports based on data from the STS Adult Cardiac Surgery Database and NCDR.
  •        Conduct thorough audits and analyses of cardiovascular data to ensure accuracy and compliance with established standards.
  •        Identify trends, patterns, and outliers in data to improve patient care outcomes.
  •        Train healthcare practitioners on the latest quality and safety measures in cardiovascular care.
  •        Collaborate with clinical teams to implement quality improvement initiatives.
  •        Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of quality improvement programs.
  •        Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  •        Provide expert guidance on cardiovascular processes and best practices.
  •        Prepare and present findings to senior management and other stakeholders.

What you’ll need:

Education: 

  • Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, nursing, public health, or a related field preferred.

Experience: 

  • Experience working in quality improvement a benefit.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in quality improvement, data analysis, or a related role within the healthcare industry.
