What you’ll do:

The Director of Service Line Business Development plays a pivotal role within the National Service Line Team through collaborating with national and market leaders to identify and execute service line growth opportunities. In doing so, the Director maintains a strong understanding of key performance metrics and proactively looks to implement solutions which promote access and realization of volume growth. The Director works closely with Medical Group Services and markets to support physician recruitment and successful attainment of volume targets for new physicians. Additionally, the Director, supports market and national service line leaders in the development of annual service line strategic planning.

Responsibilities:

       Evaluates markets in conjunction with service line leaders to develop new market opportunities and partners with markets on execution

       Executes market and competitive assessments, monitors volume data and recommends solutions to address negative trends

       Performs analysis and develops business plans to achieve strategic growth opportunities

       Under direction of service line leaders, oversees development and management of service line strategy process with markets

       Collaborates with service line leaders and markets on identification of physician role needs and works with markets on understanding and developing plans for volume opportunities

       Works with physician recruitment as a liaison for service lines to create value propositions, and marketing of open positions

       Utilizes physician alignment expertise and works with markets to execute opportunities

       Partners with Growth and Outreach teams on physician outreach on communicating service line value proposition, takes feedback, and works with service line leaders on incorporating into strategy


What you’ll need:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in healthcare or business administration (master’s degree in business- MBA, or healthcare administration- MHA preferred).

Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in the healthcare industry, with a focus on service line development or strategy. Years experience requirement is flexible with master’s degree.

Ability to travel to markets to conduct business (-25%).
