What you will do in this role:

  • Ensures compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Enhances hospital visibility by involvement in community regarding mental health and substance abuse community needs.
  • May supervise nursing management team where licensed and appropriate.
  • Functions as a liaison between physicians, patients, referral sources, and employees.
  • Ensures that the inpatient programs are staffed with the appropriate resources to ensure high quality of care delivery.

Qualifications:

  • Must possess a bachelor’s degree in nursing or a related field; a post-graduate degree in nursing is preferred.
  • Previous experience in a psychiatric health care facility, with direct experience working with chemical dependency, dual diagnosis, psychiatric and geriatric patients preferred. Experience in healthcare quality, patient assessments, family motivations, treatment planning and communication with external review organizations or comparable entities. Prior leadership experience strongly preferred.
  • Current unencumbered license to practice by the State Board of Nursing. Willingness to obtain compact license in various states as needed.
  • CPR certification and Crisis Prevention Training (CPI) within 30 days.  May be required to work flexible hours.
