Clinic Coordinator II - HFW Decherd
Location: 2008 Decherd Blvd, Decherd, TN
The Clinic Coordinator II supports the daily management of the clinic, ensuring efficient operations, strong patient flow, and consistent, high-quality care. This role assigns staff duties, monitors performance, and maintains both administrative and clinical standards. Because the position requires an active clinical license (LPN, Medical Assistant, Radiology Tech, Imaging Tech, etc.), the coordinator will also provide direct clinical support within their licensed scope.
Education requirements vary based on role:
- Medical Assistant - High School Diploma or Equivalent required; graduation from a Medical Assistant program preferred
- LPN - Graduate of a Practical Nursing Program
- Radiology Tech - Associate degree in Radiologic Technology required
- Imaging Tech - High School Diploma or Equivalent required
All applicants must hold:
- AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Current, active licensure or certification for their discipline (MA, LPN, ARRT, Limited X-Ray license, etc.)
The role requires strong critical thinking skills, sound judgment, the ability to work independently, and comfort functioning in a fast-paced, high-stress environment. Effective communication and professionalism are essential.
Primary responsibilities include developing and implementing departmental goals, overseeing daily clinic workflows, ensuring quality patient care, and resolving operational concerns. This position manages staffing activities such as hiring, orientation, evaluation, corrective action, and ongoing staff education. Additional duties include monitoring departmental budgets, coordinating audits, fostering a culture of professional growth, integrating evidence-based practices, and performing clinical responsibilities aligned with licensure. Other duties may be assigned as needed.
This role may provide care or services across multiple age groups, from neonates through older adults. Access to protected health information may include demographic, clinical, insurance, financial, and complete medical records. Occupational exposure to bloodborne pathogens may occur.
Physical demands may include frequent standing, walking, sitting, reaching, repetitive hand/arm movements, keyboarding, and lifting/carrying up to 25 lbs. Occasional bending, kneeling, pushing/pulling 26-75 lbs, and lifting 26-75 lbs may be required; rare tasks include climbing, running, and lifting over 75 lbs. Some exposure to biohazards and chemicals may occur.
