The role requires strong critical thinking skills, sound judgment, the ability to work independently, and comfort functioning in a fast-paced, high-stress environment. Effective communication and professionalism are essential.

Primary responsibilities include developing and implementing departmental goals, overseeing daily clinic workflows, ensuring quality patient care, and resolving operational concerns. This position manages staffing activities such as hiring, orientation, evaluation, corrective action, and ongoing staff education. Additional duties include monitoring departmental budgets, coordinating audits, fostering a culture of professional growth, integrating evidence-based practices, and performing clinical responsibilities aligned with licensure. Other duties may be assigned as needed.

This role may provide care or services across multiple age groups, from neonates through older adults. Access to protected health information may include demographic, clinical, insurance, financial, and complete medical records. Occupational exposure to bloodborne pathogens may occur.
