Position Summary:

The Clinic Coordinator supports the Clinic Manager in the daily operations of the assigned clinic or department. This position assists with coordinating staff, patient flow, scheduling, administrative functions, and other operational activities to promote efficient, high-quality patient care and a positive experience for patients and employees. The Clinic Coordinator serves as a key resource for clinic staff and helps ensure that departmental policies, procedures, regulatory requirements, and organizational standards are followed. The position works closely with the Clinic Manager and other members of the healthcare team to identify operational needs, resolve issues, and support the overall goals of the clinic. 

Responsibilities: 

- Assists the Clinic Manager with the daily coordination and operations of the clinic.

 - Supports effective patient flow and helps ensure patients receive timely, efficient, and courteous service. 

- Assists with staff scheduling, timekeeping, attendance tracking, and coverage needs. 

- Serves as a resource and point of contact for clinic staff regarding daily operational questions and concerns.

 - Assists with onboarding, orientation, training, and ongoing development of clinic staff.

 - Helps promote teamwork, effective communication, and a positive work environment. 

- Assists the Clinic Manager with addressing staff concerns, workflow issues, and operational challenges. 

- Monitors clinic supplies and equipment and communicates supply or equipment needs to the Clinic Manager.

 - Assists with maintaining appropriate inventory levels and ensuring supplies and equipment are available and functioning properly.

 - Supports compliance with organizational policies, procedures, regulatory requirements, and patient safety standards.

 - Assists with maintaining accurate documentation, records, reports, and other departmental information.

 - Supports quality improvement initiatives and assists with identifying opportunities to improve clinic processes and patient satisfaction.

 - Assists with coordinating meetings, staff communications, educational activities, and other departmental activities.

 - Helps monitor and maintain efficient clinic workflows and recommends process improvements to the Clinic Manager.

 - Assists with coordinating student, volunteer, or other educational engagements as applicable.

 - Promotes a professional, respectful, and patient-centered environment. 

- Maintains confidentiality of patient, employee, and organizational information.

 - Demonstrates regular and reliable attendance.

 - Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications: 

Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Additional education, training, or healthcare-related coursework preferred. 

Experience: Previous healthcare, medical office, clinical, administrative, or supervisory experience preferred. Experience coordinating staff, schedules, patient services, or clinic operations is beneficial. 

Skills/Abilities:

 - Strong organizational and time-management skills.

 - Effective verbal and written communication skills. 

- Ability to work effectively with patients, physicians, clinical staff, and other members of the healthcare team.

 - Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities in a fast-paced environment. 

- Demonstrates professionalism, dependability, and sound judgment. 

- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately. 

- Demonstrates strong customer service and interpersonal skills. 

- Basic computer skills and ability to learn and utilize applicable electronic medical record and organizational systems.
