Position Summary
The Clinical Informatics Analyst serves as a liaison between Information Systems (primarily Meditech) and assigned departments by facilitating effective integration of applications across departments. Additionally, this position works with the leadership team, users, and system vendors to document and resolve issues, coordinate system changes and assist user departments in developing better procedures to complement the applications systems.
Reports to: Director of Information Technology
Additional responsibilities include:
Experience with data analysis, data management associated with systems evaluation, clinical research, and analysis tools and methodologies.
- Facilitates effective integration of applications across departments. Provides EMR training to all employed and locum Providers.
- Works with management, users, and system vendors to document and resolve problems, coordinate system changes and assist user departments in developing better procedures to complement the applications systems.
- Interacts with all levels of the organization to help assure accurate and timely processing of application system functions. With vendor support and user department participation and develop appropriate training materials to assist user departments in maintaining effective operations.
- Researches and makes recommendations on appropriate projects, situations, and/or problems. Accepts phone and/or email messages offering support to peers as necessary.
- Be creative, flexible and innovative in organization-wide problem solving; recommend technical solutions to others as applicable.
- Maintain effective communications with customers, peers and administration.
Minimum Work Requirements:
- Minimum Education - associate or bachelor's degree
- Must have a clinical background
- Minimum of 2-3 years of clinical experience preferred
- Meditech magic experience required
- Three years of experience in applying analytical tools to improve processes and resolve problems.
