How you'll contribute
A Clinical Laboratory Assistant who excels in this role:
- Ability to perform phlebotomy duties as required, to include venipuncture and capillary techniques, using standard equipment such as vacutainer tubes and sleeves, tourniquets, syringes and butterfly needles.
- Assure that requisition includes patient demographics and accurate required billing information.
- Ability to transcribe physician orders
- Facilitate the unobserved collection of urine specimens.
- Interact directly with patients to obtain information for laboratory records, explain procedures, allay fears, and elicit cooperation.

- Ability to process, label, and store specimen samples for subsequent analysis.
- Perform and document various quality control procedures to maintain compliance with internal and external regulations.

What we're looking for
To be successful in this role, candidates should have a high school diploma, BLS certification, and phlebotomy training. Additional requirements include:
- Minimum Education: High School Diploma or equivalent Required; 2 years of College or an Associate Degree is Preferred
- Minimum Work Experience: 3 years or more of lab related experience to include 3 months practicum gained in clinical, hospital or lab setting prefer for waived testing experience.
