Clinic Coordinator - Pediatrics
Location: Highpoint Pediatrics - Sewanee, TN
Department: Pediatrics
Reports To: Director of Physician Practices or Practice Manager
Position Summary
The Clinic Coordinator - Pediatrics is responsible for the daily operations and overall management of the pediatric clinic. This role oversees staff coordination, clinic workflows, and operational performance while ensuring high-quality, patient-centered care in a pediatric setting.
Minimum Education and Licensure Requirements
High School Diploma or equivalent required
Required Skills
Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Ability to function effectively in a fast-paced pediatric environment
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
Experience coordinating clinical and administrative workflows preferred
Essential Functions
Oversees daily pediatric clinic operations to ensure efficient patient flow and quality care
Develops and implements departmental goals and standards aligned with clinical, administrative, legal, and ethical requirements
Plans and monitors staffing activities, including scheduling, onboarding, performance evaluations, and continuing education
Directs and evaluates patient care delivery, service quality, and complaint resolution
Prepares, monitors, and evaluates departmental budgets and ensures compliance with allocated funding
Coordinates internal and external audits as needed
Fosters a collaborative, supportive environment focused on pediatric patient safety and family-centered care
Integrates evidence-based practices into pediatric clinical and operational workflows
Functions in licensed clinical capacity as needed to support pediatric patient care
