Centra Rehabilitation Hospital is a state-of-the-art, 50-bed inpatient acute rehabilitation hospital dedicated to helping individuals regain their independence and return to the lives they love following an injury or illness.

How you'll contribute
A Dietary Worker who excels in this role:
Collaborates with the Dietary Manager and Registered Dietitian to support menu planning and meet patient-specific nutritional needs.
Stores and rotates food and consumable items in compliance with health department regulations and hospital guidelines.
Adheres to FIFO (First In, First Out) rotation standards, ensuring no expired products remain on-site, and properly dates and labels all food items.
Maintains accurate documentation and monitors temperatures from delivery through service.
Follows all sanitation and food safety protocols, including proper food‑handling procedures and the use of service utensils and gloves.
Ensures equipment is cleaned according to safety and sanitation standards. Reports equipment malfunctions promptly to the Dietary Manager.
Prepares meals in accordance with the menu cycle and daily production sheets, with attention to presentation, flavor, portion control, and production accuracy.
Maintains appropriate inventory levels at the beverage station.
Prepares snacks and supplemental nourishments in alignment with resident preferences and physician orders.

What we're looking for
Applicants should possess the following qualifications and skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- Food Safety/Sanitation certification is required as per state regulations.
- 1 year of experience in food service and/or preparation setting (restaurant, hospital, nursing center, hotel, etc) is preferred.
