Our 24-hour pharmacy offers opportunities to perform clinical pharmacy services for patients in various departments of the hospital, including ICU, PCU/Cardiac, and the Emergency Department. How you'll contribute
A Director of Pharmacy who excels in this role:
Must perform each essential function satisfactorily with or without a reasonable accommodation.
Develops and implements departmental goals, plans, and standards consistent with the clinical, administrative, legal, and ethical requirements/objectives of the organization.
Directs and evaluates departmental operations, including patient care delivery, information technologies, service level determination, and complaint management, to achieve performance and quality control objectives.
Plans and monitors staffing activities, including hiring, orienting, evaluating, disciplinary actions, and continuing education initiatives. Prepares, monitors, and evaluates departmental budgets, and ensures that the department operates in compliance with allocated funding.
Coordinates and directs internal/external audits.
Creates and fosters an environment that encourages professional growth. Integrates evidence-based practices into operations and clinical protocols.
Regular and reliable attendance.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Additional Information: Position serves both internal co-workers and external customers, clients, patients, contractors, and vendors. Access to and/or works with sensitive and/or confidential information.
Exhibit a comprehensive understanding of healthcare regulatory and compliance (e.g., HIPAA). Skilled in the application of policies and procedures. Knowledge of Business Office Standards and Recommended Practices.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Manage the work of others, including planning, assigning, scheduling and reviewing work, ensures quality standards. Responsible for hiring, terminating, training and developing, reviewing performance and administering corrective action for staff.

What we're looking for
Applicants must have a bachelor's degree at minimum, a Doctorate in Pharmacy is preferred, along with a pharmacy license active in North Carolina.Additional requirements include:
· Basic Life Support certification is required within 30 days of hire.
· ACLS and PALS are required within six months of hire.
· One year of experience preferred
· ASLS certification preferred
