Department/Unit Summary

Responsible for overall operations of the Surgical Services department (ACU, PACU, Endoscopy, Circulating, Perioperative 101, Operating Room). Provides supervisory oversight of Surgical staff. Consults with staff, physicians and Chief Nursing Officer on nursing issues/concerns and interpretation of hospital policies to ensure the highest level of patient care and customer service. Maintains performance improvement activities within the department and participates in Quality Improvement activities. Prepares and monitors unit budgets.

Qualifications and requirements
Applicants should have a current state RN license and possess a bachelor's degree or associate degree from an accredited nursing school. Additional requirements include:

  • 3 Years Relevant Clinical Experience
  • 2 Years Leadership Experience
  • BLS Required
