The Division Director of Quality is responsible for overseeing and ensuring the highest standards of quality and compliance across the Behavioral Health Division.
This role involves the development, implementation, and management of quality programs, quality assurance, staff development plans and improvement programs, ensuring adherence to industry regulations (State, TJC, CMS), a fostering a culture of continuous improvements.
The Director will lead a team of quality professionals, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and work closely with leadership to develop strategies that enhance patient safety, operational efficiency, and overall healthcare outcomes for the patients served. will focus on optimizing the delivery of care, improving patient outcomes, and enhancing overall service quality across the organization.
How you'll contribute
A Division Director of Quality who excels in this role:
Demonstrates an extensive knowledge of all regulatory standards including TJC, Medicaid, state, and federal laws
Responsible for assisting the Facility Director of Quality and Risk Management in development/administration of Performance Improvement, Risk Management, and Staff Development activities throughout the Facilities to ensure that all state, federal, and Joint Commission (TJC) standards for care are consistently met
Supports the regulatory and accreditation surveys and outcomes; advises and informs facilities on regulatory standards
Works with facility employees to identify risk/safety concerns and leads the team to take corrective action as needed
Collects and analyzes data on facility quality performance monthly, and reports results to division leadership
Monitors their region's performance monthly and report to division leadership the analysis of their data along with any action plans for Facilities to bring them in to compliance with applicable standards
The Director monitors, investigates, and as required, reviews any reports collaboratively with the facility leadership
Provides onsite assistance for monitoring compliance and survey activities
Design and oversee data collection methods and analysis to assess performance metrics and identify opportunities for improvement
Establish and monitor quality benchmarks and performance indicators; developing reports and presenting findings to division leadership
Collaborate in the development of and participate in facilitation of training programs to staff to ensure an understanding of quality improvement initiatives and foster a culture of continuous improvement
Proactively works with facilities for regulatory readiness-both onsite and remotely
Collects serious event reports; ensures appropriate follow up occurs at the Facility and reviews state notifications with the Facility Quality Director
Monitors the Performance Improvement projects at the facility level; ensures facilities meet all regulatory standards and laws
Develop and oversee programs to ensure implementation of standards and monitoring of clinical outcomes
Identifies and delivers training opportunities to improve clinical outcomes based off the analysis of identified trends
Leads and coordinates quality improvement projects, collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify areas for improvement and implement best practices across the division
Facilitates continuous quality improvement by implementing evidence-based practices and initiatives to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards
Develops training programs, onboarding plans for quality directors; provides coaching and mentoring for new quality directors
Other duties as assigned.

What we're looking for
Applicants should have a Master's degree in a health-related field preferred, or Bachelor's degree in a health-related field with five years' experience in a behavioral health care Facility with direct experience working with chemical dependency, dual diagnosis, psychiatric, and geriatric patients preferred.
Additional requirements include:
Healthcare quality management and compliance, in a behavioral health setting; Multi facility management preferred, but not required.
License: Unencumbered license to practice by the State Board of Nursing or Social work
May be required to work flexible hours.
CPHQ Preferred.
Up to 60% Travel Required
