How you'll contribute
An EEG Technician who excels in this role:
Reviews existing clinical data, collects additional data and recommends obtaining additional pertinent data.
Evaluates all data to determine appropriateness and medical necessity of the test ordered.
Selects, assembles and checks the equipment necessary to perform the diagnostic test
Initiates, conducts and modifies the prescribed diagnostic procedure
Maintains patient records and communicates relevant information to members of the health care team

What we're looking for
Applicants should be a Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) by the American Registry of Diagnostic Sonographers (ARDMS) or Registered Cardiovascular Technologist by the National Board of Cardiovascular Technology preferred or one year experience.
Additional requirements include:
Basic Life Support (BLS)
Two years' experience in EEG testing. Possess an advanced knowledge of neurology and cardiopulmonary physiology and other sciences related to neurological and cardiopulmonary diagnostics and be able to demonstrate these to others.
Preference given to certified or registered Respiratory Therapist by National Board for Respiratory Care, Inc, and licensed by the state of Virginia or Registered Electroencepholography Technologist by the American Society for Electroencepholography Society.Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
