Position Summary:

Primary responsibilities include collecting specimens, filing, and answering phones in a courteous and professional manner, performing drug screens, placing orders in the computer, etc.  This position requires excellent customer service skills and the ability to communicate verbally and in writing in English.


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Required Licensure:  NV Department of Health and Human Services - Laboratory Assistant License (requires application submitted upon hire. Status "pending" for up to 6 months) or must be attending a certified Phlebotomy program to obtain licensure.  And a NV Department of Health and Human Services - Point of Care Analyst within one year of hire.
  • Required Certification:  American Heart Association BLS within 60 days upon hire.
  • Physical Demands:  Light physical effort; lift/carry up to 50 pounds.  Prolonged, extensive, or considerable standing/walking
  • Working Conditions:  Exposed to infection from disease-bearing specimen. Regularly exposed to the risk of blood borne diseases. Emergency/Crisis/Stress situations.
