Position Summary: Develops and provides services related to the orientation, continuing education, and assessment of clinical staff.

This position is responsible for providing Informatics expertise and resources for a facility or specialty area. As a resource, this position provides on-going user training and informatics support for various teams and committees. This position supports the organizations vision and direction for computer systems, process design, data management and related processes. Additional responsibilities include:

  • Services as a liaison between the facility or specialty area clinical support staff and the Clinical Information System IT team to communicate user needs and facilitate system modification to meet user needs.
  • Serving as a consultant/mentor for staff in areas of program development, clinical practice, and professional development.
  • Participating in the development, coordination, and delivery of new staff, students, and providers on EMR training.
  • Collaborating with nurse managers and staff to integrate evidence-based practices into EMR functions for clinicians.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum Education: degree in nursing (RN or LPN) required; bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred  
  • Licensure/Certification: 
    • Current Nevada LPN or RN license required
    • BLS required within 30 days of hire
