What you will do in this role:

  • Leads the admissions office process in multiple IRF sites
  • Direct supervisory role of all hospital admission associates
  • Coordinates all facility tours provided to potential patients and guests – providing outcomes and clinical data pertaining to their specific needs
  • Ability to independently make decisions on prioritization of processing referrals and insurance authorizations based on clinical readiness
  • Maintains open communication with liaisons and internal staff regarding bed availability and staffing
  • Coordinates the flow of information through the admissions process and forwards to appropriate departments for the successful completion of admission
  • Other duties as assigned

At Texas Rehabilitation Hospital of Fort Worth, our rehabilitation programs provide ongoing care and specialized treatment to patients throughout their recovery journey. We offer customized, intense rehabilitation tailored to the individual needs of those recovering from stroke, brain injury, neurological conditions, trauma, spinal cord injury, amputation, and orthopedic injury. Our Stroke Specialty Program is recognized by CIHQ as a Center of Excellence and certified by The Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF). We are CARF-accredited for our Comprehensive Integrated Inpatient Rehabilitation and Brain Injury and Spinal Cord Injury Specialty Programs.


Qualifications

  • High School Diploma required.Some college preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in Admitting and/or medical insurance preferred
  • Experience in handling patient admissions preferred
  • Extensive knowledge of insurance and their benefits and admitting forms
  • Proficiency in recording admission reservations
  • Management experience preferred
