Supports the Supply Chain Director with assigned tasks and functions

Reports to: CFO

• Promotes HPHS cost containment efforts daily by utilizing HPG contracts when possible, and selecting appropriate vendors.
• Ensure procurement functions are carried out in an ethical, financial and responsible manner.
• Provides purchasing history and support data to HPG and designated vendors as requested.
• Schedule, coordinate and report physical inventories for HPHS in an accurate and timely manner.
• Serves as a liaison between customers and the HPG Regional Manager.
• Works closely with LifePoint corporate Supply Chain personnel to maximize standardization opportunities and contract compliance.
• Meets with Vendor and Sales Reps as scheduled to review/update current contracts and discuss potential new products and services.
• Support SMART and Supply Chain training needs at all HPHS facilities.
• Act in an advisory capacity to the Materials Management personnel at all HPHS facilities in matters relating to purchasing and supply management
Develops and implements departmental goals, plans, and standards consistent with the clinical,
administrative, legal, and ethical requirements/objectives of the organization.
Directs and evaluates departmental operations, including patient care delivery, information technologies, service level determination, and complaint management, to achieve performance and quality control objectives.
Prepares, monitors, and evaluates departmental budgets, and ensures that the department operates in compliance with allocated funding.
Coordinates and directs internal/external audits.
Creates and fosters an environment that encourages professional growth.
Ensures department stays focused on their important role in the continuum of care.

Minimum Education
Bachelor’s degree in Business or other healthcare related field, or certification in Supply Chain Management through the American Hospital Association - Required
Required Skills
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
Minimum Work Experience
Three years progressive management experience in a healthcare supply chain setting.
