Position Summary:  

  • Develops and provides services related to the orientation, continuing education and usage of clinical systems.

Minimum Education: 

  • Associate’s degree - Required
  • Bachelor’s degree - Preferred
  • Current RN license – Required

Required Skills / Essential Functions:

  • Hospital RN Clinical Experience in acute care setting
  • Experience in clinical system implementations throughout the project life-cycle, performing workflow analysis, testing, training, go-live support, system upgrades, and issues management.
  • Experience in organizational/behavior change management methodologies or principles; passion for excellence and ability to move organizations out of their comfort zone to achieve excellence        

-      Experience in conducting evaluations and assessments, (i.e. change readiness assessments, workflow optimization assessments)

-      Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.           -        

-      Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
-      Demonstrated ability to function both autonomously and collaboratively within a team; networks with colleagues and industry forums to leverage knowledge.
-      Good understanding of clinical standards and integration of technology.
-      Competent user of Microsoft Office products.
-      Collaborates with nurse managers and staff to assess the learning needs and competencies of staff.
-      Designs, delivers, and assesses learning activities and curriculums related to clinical competencies, departmental/organizational policies, regulatory requirements, and the use of clinical information technologies.
-      Serves as a consultant/mentor for staff in areas of program development, clinical practice, and professional development.
-      Participates in the development, coordination, and delivery of new staff orientation and education activities.

  • Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. 
  • Handle with Care to be received within 30 days of orientation and kept annually.
