As a cook at Portage Pointe, you will take great pride in providing nourishing, high quality food to our Elders. You will have a significant impact on the quality of care delivered, as well as perform a variety of preparation, distribution, and sanitation functions in support of assigned areas.


Position Skills:
• Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
• Demonstrates proficiency in verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to interact effectively and professionally with individuals at all levels; both internal and external

Position Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent required
2 years food experience preferred
Basic life support (BLS) certification required (available upon hire)
ServeSafe certification required or obtained within 6 months of hire
Annual influenza vaccination or declination required

Position Details:
PRN (.001 FTE, variable hours per week)
Variable day shift 
Available to work a minimum of 2 shifts per schedule
