At UP Health System - Portage, providing an excellent patient experience is at the heart of everything we do. An exciting opportunity for an Executive Assistant is now available in our Administration Department to be a part of the excellent patient experience. As a member of our dedicated Administration team, this role supports the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Chief Nursing Officer (CNO). 


In this role, the individual will coordinate and manage executive scheduling, prepare and organize important operational and strategic materials and plans, and support board meetings and the preparation of meeting materials. 


The role must interact seamlessly and with a professional demeanor across a broad range of individuals including members of the Senior Management Team, Board of Trustees, Joint Venture Governing Board, corporate partners and leaders that report to the CEO, CFO and CNO. To perform this job successfully, the individual is expected to handle highly sensitive and confidential financial, legal, personnel and institutional information while exercising professionalism and discretion.


Required Skills:
• Exceptional writing, editing and proofreading skills.
• Works independently with proven organizational skills and attention to detail
• Must be able to prioritize multiple tasks and exercise sound judgment
• Demonstrates proficiency in verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to interact effectively and professionally with individuals at all levels; both internal and external
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint)


Position Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent required
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred
Three to Five Years’ Prior Experience in supporting a Senior Executive or team preferred
Excellent computer skills required
Familiarity with Hospital operations and/or the healthcare industry preferred
Annual influenza vaccination or declination required

Position Details:
1.0 FTE (full-time, 40 hours per week)
Day shift 
Weekdays only, no holidays
