Position Summary:

The job involves providing direct and indirect patient care by utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. It is important to meet the physical, psychosocial, and religious/cultural needs of the patient and their family. Effective communication with all members of the healthcare team is crucial to keep them informed about any changes in the patient's condition or response to treatment.


Minimum Qualification

·       A High School Diploma or Equivalent is required.

·       Two years of college or a nursing diploma from an approved nursing program is required.

·       Upon hire, American Heart Association endorsed (BLS) is required.

Performs basic nursing skills. 

·       Provides personal care activities for patients or residents.

·       Take directives from the Registered or Licensed Practical Nurses

·       Practices within the nursing assistant's scope and according

·       Adhere to Person Memorial Hospital policies, procedures, and standards.

·       Reports to registered nurses
