Description

Lifepoint Behavioral Health is seeking a passionate, creative and goal-oriented Phlebotomist tojoin our team and have an immediate impact on expanding on our success, growing our services and fulfilling our mission of improving the lives of all we touch.

As a Phlebotomist you will:

  • Perform venipunctures and skin punctures on hospital patients.
  • Assists in reviewing lab results and alerts Charge Nurse, Nurse Supervisor or Director of Nursing as needed.
  • Responsibilities include blood specimen collection including blood cultures.

Qualifications

As a Phlebotomistyou will have:

  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Formal Phlebotomy training as required by state.
  • Medical Assistant or Phlebotomy certification preferred and valid state Clinical Lab Scientists as required by state.
  • Six (6) months acute phlebotomy experience or one (1) year experience as a medical assistant performing venipuncture or one (1) year outpatient lab experience preferred.
