What you will do in this role:

  • Ensures meals are ready at the specified times and tests foods being cooked to ensure proper seasoning etc
  • Consults with the Registered Dietitian on modified diets, as necessary
  • Supervises Nutritional Services workers when washing, trimming or preparing food
  • Maintains kitchen in a clean, neat and organized manner and adheres to all infection control policies and procedures
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred
  • Prior food service or customer service experience with cooking experience preferred
  • Experience with patient dietary restrictions
  • Prior healthcare experience preferred but not required
  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing

Our rehabilitation programs provide ongoing care and specialized treatment to patients throughout their recovery journey. We offer customized, intense rehabilitation tailored to the individual needs of those recovering from stroke, brain injury, neurological conditions, trauma, spinal cord injury, amputation, and orthopedic injury. We are accredited by both The Joint Commission and CARF for our Stroke and Amputation Specialty Programs as well as CARF-accredited for our Comprehensive Integrated Inpatient Rehabilitation and Brain Injury Specialty Programs.
