As an IT Support Technician, you'll gain hands-on experience supporting a variety of systems, work alongside experienced team members, and contribute to ongoing technology improvements across the hospital. How you'll contribute
An IT&S Technician who excels in this role:
Provide first-level technical support to hospital employees, physicians, and affiliated physician practices, assisting with hardware, software, application, and network-related issues.
Coordinate new employee IT onboarding, including user account creation, system access, permissions, and application setup.
Manage user accounts, password resets, and access privileges using systems such as Active Directory, Okta, and Microsoft Azure.
Troubleshoot basic technical issues involving Windows desktops, laptops, printers, mobile devices, and other peripheral equipment.
Receive, document, track, and resolve IT service requests through ServiceNow, ensuring accurate ticket documentation and timely resolution.
Assist users with access to hospital applications and systems, including Oracle, MEDHOST, and other clinical and administrative platforms.
Provide remote and onsite technical assistance, diagnosing issues and escalating more complex problems to senior IT staff or appropriate support teams.
Support employee workstation setups, office relocations, equipment installations, and minor hardware repairs.
Provide basic technical guidance and training to employees to promote effective use of hospital systems and technology.
Collaborate with IT team members to troubleshoot issues, maintain system accessibility, and minimize disruptions to hospital operations.
Assist with technology upgrades, system implementations, and other departmental IT initiatives as needed.
Participate in a rotating after-hours on-call schedule once fully trained and proficient in supported systems.
Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and responsiveness when assisting employees, physicians, and other internal customers.
What we're looking for
Applicants should have a high school diploma or equivalent, required. Additional requirements include:
Minimum Qualifications
Strong understanding of basic computer hardware, software, and troubleshooting principles.
Ability to diagnose and resolve common technical issues involving desktops, laptops, printers, applications, and user accounts.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to provide patient, professional technical assistance to users with varying levels of technical knowledge.
Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently, prioritize competing requests, and remain effective in a fast-paced, high-pressure healthcare environment.
Collaborative, team-oriented approach with a willingness to learn new systems, technologies, and processes.
Ability to participate in a rotating after-hours on-call schedule following completion of training.
Preferred Qualifications
Approximately two years of experience in IT support, help desk, desktop support, or a related technical support environment.
Associate's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
Hands-on experience with Active Directory, including user account management, security groups, and password resets.
Familiarity with Microsoft Azure, Okta, or other identity and access management systems.
Experience using IT ticketing systems, particularly ServiceNow.
Previous experience supporting Windows-based systems, Microsoft applications, and common workplace technology.
Experience supporting IT systems in a hospital, healthcare facility, or similarly fast-paced environment.
Schedule: Full-time, Monday - Friday, 8am-4:30pm
On-Call: Rotating after-hours on-call coverage (one week on, one week off) following completion of extensive training. On-call and callback compensation provided in accordance with hospital policy.
