Position Summary:

The Finance Director provides the overall leadership and direction for the Hospital Division of Finance within the Conemaugh Health System. The Director functions as a Controller and has overall supervisory responsibility for general accounting, general ledger, accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, and fixed asset management. The Director is responsible for directing, coordinating, maintaining and controlling the accounting system that properly reflects the financial position of the System.  


The Finance Director reports directly to the Market CFO, and supervises the Hospital Division Accounting Team. 

 

The Finance Director department serves as a System Financial Operations department having responsibility for the preparation of financial statements for the flagship hospital (Memorial) as well as a sole community hospital (Miners) and a critical access hospital (Meyersdale). The Financial Operations department processes accounts payable and payroll for all entities of the System, including the Physician Division.

·         Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance

·         Minimum of 10 years’ experience in healthcare; minimum of 3 years in a supervisory role Successful leadership experience in hospital financial operations.

·         Possesses excellent quantitative and problem-solving skills and project positive image as a Healthcare professional.

·         Exhibits a track record demonstrating increasingly greater responsibility and career stability.

·         Demonstrates excellent judgment skills in the selection, management, training and evaluation of staff.

·         Enthusiasm and high energy, an individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
