Conemaugh Medical Specialties is seeking a full-time LPN for CPG Pulmonology. The LPN is responsible for providing nursing care to meet the needs of the patients, assisting medical staff and providing quality care to breast surgery patients and their families.

Essential Responsibilities:

Assists medical staff in carrying out plans for care of patients. Assists with office procedures. Gives medications as ordered by providers.  Performs clinical procedures within the scope of practice. Informs patients of test results with the approval of the ordering provider. 

Obtains and records vitals.

Evaluates, plans and administers nursing care to patients in office setting as ordered by physician.

Demonstrated knowledge of sterility during procedures.

Under direction of physician assists with procedures in office.

Identifies educational needs of patients/families and collaborates with RN and other health care professionals to meet those needs.

Scheduling of diagnostic testing and providing instructions to the patient specific to the ordered testing.

Collaborates with other disciplines to achieve outcome.

Demonstrates flexibility, adaptability and ability to change in a dynamic environment.

Demonstrates ability to work independently as well as a member of an interdisciplinary team.

Traveling to satellite offices to assist physicians, as needed.

Job Qualifications:
Education:

Required: Graduate of a state approved program for licensed practical nurses.

Experience:

Required: One Year LPN Experience.

Preferred: Background in Pulmonology; Physician Office Experience.

Certification/Licensure/Registration:

Required: Current valid Pennsylvania nursing license.
