Position Summary:

Performs a variety of ultrasound tests for patients of all ages (neonates, pediatrics, adolescents, adults and geriatrics). Applies principles, theories and techniques of ultrasound technology to produce reliable test results.

·         Graduate of a School of Radiologic Technology or Graduate of an ultrasound school or within 90 days of graduation from radiology or sonography program and high school diploma or equivalent

·         ARDMS – eligible – must become registered within 1 years of hire. Must obtain General, Obstetric and Vascular Registry by year 6 of employment. Sonographer will have 2 years to complete each registry over the first 6 years of employment.  OR  ARRT (U) –eligible – must become registered within 1 years of hire.*NOTE:  Must take one portion of ARDMS Registry Exam within 90 days of hire OR must take ARRT (U) exam within 90 days of hire. Must obtain General, Obstetric and Vascular Registry by year 6 of employment. Sonographer will have 2 years to complete each registry over the first 6 years of employment.

·         CPR

·         Ability to professionally communicate with patients, physicians and fellow employees
