Wage Scale: $18.40 - $23.90

Sign On Bonus with Experience: (Pro-Rated for Part Time Positions)

  • $2,000 for 0-2 years of experience
  • $3,000 for 3-4 years of experience
  • $4,000 for 4+ years of experience

Essential Functions

  • Triages telephone calls appropriately.
  • Reviews and organizes the patient medical records and examination room prior patient presentation Readies exam rooms, ensuring that they are clean and stocked appropriately.
  • Performs vital signs and assist patients in preparing for physician’s exam.
  • Chaperones during exam.
  • Provide assistance as requested during exam.
  • Gathers surgical and/or prep trays for procedures or tests.
  • Demonstrate ability to chart medical record clearly and concisely.
  • Demonstrate ability to assess utilizing techniques appropriate for different age groups.
  • Demonstrate ability to explain plan of care and procedures to patients.
  • Schedule diagnostic testing for patients.
  • Discusses advanced care directives options.
  • Provides appropriate review of processes to enhance efficient patients care and safety
  • Exhibits knowledge and follows appropriate infection control techniques.
  • Ensure all processes comply with regulatory agencies and Health and Safety Policies, e.g. OSHA, CLIA, etc.
  • Demonstrate awareness and sensitivity to patient rights.
  • Request permission prior to disclosing sensitive information.
  • Educate patient in preventative medicine protocols and promote it. Encourage patients to take responsibility for healthy lifestyle.
  • Educate patient in corrective actions to reverse unhealthy habits.
  • Abide by standard precautions regarding infection control, blood-borne pathogens, and handwashing.
  • Willingly perform pleasant and unpleasant tasks.
  • Practices excellent customer service and communication to all customers and staff Proficiently operate computer systems for patient care and communication

Qualifications and requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent – Required
  • Completion of a certified medical assistant program – Required
  • Must have current Washington LPN Licensure or current active or interim Medical Assistant - Certified WA State certification. May also have Medical Assistant-Registered WA State certification and must obtain MA-C accreditation within six months from employment date. Current AHA HCP (BLS) Card.
  • Basic Life support (BSL)
