Position Overview:

As a Patient Relations Coordinator, you will work directly with specialty departments to process incoming referrals, coordinate patient scheduling, and facilitate seamless navigation of care within the clinic. You will play a key role in ensuring a positive patient experience by providing clear communication and support throughout their healthcare journey.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process and manage incoming patient referrals in coordination with specialty departments.
  • Schedule patient appointments efficiently, collaborating with Medical Assistants (MAs) and providers.
  • Communicate with patients to provide appointment details, instructions, and answer questions about their care.
  • Assist patients in navigating clinic services and coordinating follow-ups.
  • Verify insurance and obtain prior authorizations as required.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and ensure proper documentation in the system.
  • Provide excellent customer service to patients, addressing concerns with empathy and professionalism.
  • Work closely with providers and clinical staff to ensure smooth patient care coordination.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s degree or healthcare-related certification preferred.
  • Previous experience in a healthcare or patient-facing role preferred.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and scheduling software is a plus.
  • Commitment to providing compassionate, high-quality patient service.
