Title: Surgery Scheduler – Vascular & Cardio

Location: Trios Care Center at Southridge - 4th Floor
Job Type: Full-Time
Department: Vascular & Cardiology Surgery
Reports To: Practice Manager

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Surgery Scheduler to coordinate surgical procedures for our vascular and cardio departments. The ideal candidate will work closely with surgeons, patients, and healthcare teams to ensure timely and efficient scheduling while maintaining compliance with hospital and insurance policies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Schedule surgical procedures for vascular and cardiac patients, ensuring optimal coordination with surgeons, operating rooms, and anesthesia teams.
  • Verify patient insurance coverage and obtain necessary pre-authorizations for procedures.
  • Communicate surgery details, pre-op instructions, and necessary preparations to patients and their families.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and administrative staff to ensure a smooth scheduling process.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in the scheduling system.
  • Adjust surgery schedules as needed in case of cancellations or emergencies.
  • Ensure compliance with hospital policies and medical regulations.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s degree or medical office training preferred.
  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience in surgical scheduling, preferably in a vascular or cardiology setting.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology, insurance verification, and prior authorizations.
  • Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) and scheduling software.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
