Schedule: Flexible hours/start times between 4am - 3pm. We offer 8 hour shifts with rotating weekends and occasional on call as needed

How you'll contribute
A Laboratory Assistant who excels in this role will perform basic laboratory duties to include phlebotomy, along with other specimen collection, and waived testing.
Addition Responsibilities include:
- Ordering, processing, and distributing laboratory specimens.
- Review of pending reports, manifests, etc. for outstanding lab results.
- Assisting other lab personnel with specimen storage and retrieval.
- Ensuring Turn Around Times (TATs) are met.
- Maintaining inventory for phlebotomy services, reference lab supplies, and departmental office supplies.
- Performing phlebotomy duties.
- Assists with receiving, identifying, accessioning, processing and transporting specimens.
- Maintains work area in a safe, aseptic and organized manner.
- Performs clerical duties including answering phones, data entry, and filing.
- Communicates test results to appropriate healthcare providers.

Requirements:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent
- Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
