How you'll contribute

A Laboratory Assistant who excels in this role:

• Will perform basic laboratory duties to include phlebotomy, along with other specimen collection, and waived testing

• Is responsible for ordering, processing, and distributing laboratory specimens

• Review of pending reports, manifests, etc. for outstanding lab results; assisting other lab personnel with specimen storage and retrieval, ensuring Turn Around Times (TATs) are met; and maintaining inventory for phlebotomy services, reference lab supplies, and departmental office supplies

What we're looking for

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent

• Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision

• Attention to detail and accuracy including closely monitoring all aspects of the job and continually checking processes and tasks is required.

• Information collection and management, attention to detail, along with the ability to work under pressure
