How you'll contribute
A Laboratory Assistant who excels in this role:

Will perform basic laboratory duties to include phlebotomy, along with other specimen collection, and waived testing

Is responsible for ordering, processing, and distributing laboratory specimens

Review of pending reports, manifests, etc. for outstanding lab results; assisting other lab personnel with specimen storage and retrieval, ensuring Turn Around Times (TATs) are met; and maintaining inventory for phlebotomy services, reference lab supplies, and departmental office supplies

What we're looking for

Education: High school diploma or equivalent

Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision

Attention to detail and accuracy including closely monitoring all aspects of the job and continually checking processes and tasks is required.

Information collection and management, attention to detail, along with the ability to work under pressure
