Position Summary:

The Intensive Care Registered Nurse provides direct patient care while utilizing the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice. The ICU RN must demonstrate the ability to work as a Primary RN in ICU, coordinate the delivery of patient care within assignment, complete required documentation, participate in patient/family teaching, utilize the Nursing Process, and participate in discharge planning. Strives daily to provide all customers excellent care and promotes Havasu Regional Medical Centers' Standards of Behavior and duties as assigned. 

Reports to: ICU Manager/Director 

FLSA:  Non-exempt


Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum Education
X Associates degree required
X Bachelors Degree Preferred
Required Licenses
Registered Nurse
Arizona Registered Nurse (RN) License or Compact State Registered Nurse (RN) License required on hire
Minimum Work Experience
At least 2 years ICU experience preferred.
Required Skills
Certifications:
ACLS required upon hire, BLS is not required if employee has current ACLS.
TNCC certification within 6 months of hire- Not required for RN Traveler

Competencies:
Moderate and Deep Sedation within 30 days of hire and annually thereafter.
EKG Course and NIHSS Stroke within 30 days of hire and annually thereafter.
