How you'll contribute
A Lead Therapist who excels in this role:
- Monitors patients for safety and report concerns or potential substance use to the Program Manager.
- Conducts drug screenings as needed, in collaboration with outpatient nursing staff.
- Facilitates individual, group, and family therapy sessions for patients with behavioral health or substance use concerns.
- Actively engages patients in group settings, lead therapeutic discussions, and implement group programming tools and resources.
- Leads treatment planning and revise goals as patient progress is evaluated.
- Oversees patient discharges and develops thorough after-care plans with appropriate follow-up.
- Communicates proactively with patients, families, and referral sources in alignment with HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2.
- Collaborates consistently with physicians, UR, and nursing staff on patient care and length of stay determinations.
- Completes documentation and assessments, including psychosocial evaluations and outcome measures such as Columbia, BASIS-32, or CABA.
- Participates in crisis intervention and de-escalation as needed, and initiates facility code responses per protocol.
- Responds to crisis calls and support patient safety planning as necessary.
- Participates in discharge planning by coordinating appointments, referrals, and hand-offs to aftercare services.
- Supports care coordination and assist in group therapy development.
- Ensures all clinical documentation is timely, thorough, and meets regulatory standards.
- Maintains strict patient confidentiality and compliance with federal and state behavioral health regulations.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

What we're looking for
Applicants should have a Master's degree in Social Work or Counseling. Additional requirements include:
- Current licensure in the state of Texas required, (LMSW, LCSW, LPC, LPCA, LMFT, LMFTA)
- CPR and deescalation certification required within 30 days of hire.
- Strong clinical experience required; background in chemical dependency and dual diagnosis preferred
