Acute care medical‑surgical unit
24‑bed unit with a 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio
1:10 CA-to-nurse ratio
Diverse patient population including medical, surgical, testing, and observation patients

How you'll contribute
A Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) who excels in this role:
- Contributes to the assessment of patients by collecting data for analysis by an RN.
- Performs plan of care interventions, including specimen collection and wound care; may administer medication.
- Documents patient care provided.
- Assists RN with development of plan of care.
- Assists patients with daily living activities including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
- Monitors, documents, and communicates patient status and responses to interventions with RN, physician, patient, and family.
- Advocates for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.
- Participates in performance improvement and continuing education.

What we're looking for
The right person who will as supervised and delegated by a registered nurse, provides direct patient care in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice.
Applicants must have a current LPN VA or compact state license. Graduate of a practical school of nursing.
Additional requirements include:
AHA BLS certification required.
Hourly Range: $22.20 - $28.68 per hour
