$30,000.00 Sign-on bonus for 24 month FT commitment.

This position provides nursing leadership for multiple units/areas  Assists management with orienting, supervising and evaluating the performance of the unit staff, ensures adequate coverage on all shifts and will assume a patient assignment when necessary.  Assists director with monitoring staff compliance with facility policies and unit directives.  Assists with chart audits and provides feedbak to staff as needed.  Completes all required modules to fulfill preceptor requirements.  Maintain a positive and professional attitude that encourages professional growth.  Communicate effectively with the team to ensure continuity and consistency.

In collaboration with Director evaluate the effectiveness of patient care and identifies any issues that affect desired patient outcomes.  Responds to complaints about patient care and related service, and manage through established channels.  Performs role-specific duties as assigned, including entering orders, performing admissions or discharges and coordinating transfers.  Ensures staff has a necessary equipment and supplies to provide safe, quality paitent care.  Integetrates evidence-based practices into operations and clinical protocols.  May assist director with timekeeping duties.  

Assists director with performance improvement initiatives for units.  Assists director with various reports, projects and compliance. 

Will be required to share weekend coverage for units with House Supervisors.


Requires:

Associates degree of Bachelor's degree in nursing.

License:  Current NM RN licensure of appropriate RN Compact licensure to start

New hires and transfers must have current BLS and ACLS upon hire.  Staff are required to obtan PALS/ENPC and NRP within six (6) months from hire.

Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision.  Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.  Experience in Intensive Care and Emergency Room preferred.
