Epic Integration & BI Manager (Remote)
Overview
We are seeking a technical leader to manage Epic interface development and business intelligence initiatives. This role focuses on system integration, interoperability, and analytics strategy. You will lead a team to ensure seamless data exchange and optimized reporting across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee development, testing, deployment, and maintenance of Epic Bridges interfaces and HL7/FHIR-based integrations.
- Manage and mentor a team of Epic Bridges analysts, ensuring best practices in interface development.
- Supervise design, configuration, and maintenance of data interfaces for reliable performance.
- Facilitate data exchange between Epic and external applications using HL7, FHIR, and APIs.
- Collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to meet integration and reporting requirements.
- Ensure compliance with data governance, security, and regulatory standards.
- Manage vendor relationships and third-party integrations.
- Drive system upgrades, workflow optimization, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Maintain documentation, SOPs, and change control processes for supported systems.
Lead business intelligence efforts, including dashboards, reports, and data extracts within Epic
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Proven leadership experience managing technical teams.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Expertise in Epic Bridges, HL7, FHIR, and interface engine technologies.
- Advanced proficiency in SQL, data warehousing, and data modeling.
- Experience with Epic Cogito tools (Clarity, Caboodle, Reporting Workbench).
- Familiarity with reporting tools (Crystal Reports, Power BI).
- Prior experience in healthcare IT environments.
- Epic certifications preferred.
Work Environment & Travel
- Remote position with moderate travel (up to 30%).
- Standard office environment; occasional exposure to hospital settings.
