·       $7,500 sign-on bonus w/24-month commitment

·       Shift Differentials: $2.60 nights, $2.00 weekends, $1.10 afternoons, $1.00 Specialty Certs, double-time incentive shifts, plus flexible shifts/self-scheduling

Minimum qualifications and requirements
Applicants should have a state of Michigan RN license and possess an associate degree from an accredited nursing school (bachelor's degree preferred).

Additional requirements include:

·       Basic Life Support Health Care Provider (BLS-HCP) is required within 30 days of hire.

·       Handle with Care- Advanced (within 90 days)

·       Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) (within 1 year)

·       Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) (within 1 year)

·       Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC) (within 1 year)

·       Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC) (within 1 year)

Essential Functions 

·       Performs plan of care intervention, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, as well as other medical care treatment.

·       Documents patient care given.

·       Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate to care team, physician, patient, and family.

·       Assists patients with performing activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.

·       Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral, and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.

·       Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.

·       Works as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.

Department/Unit Summary

ED provides unscheduled outpatient services to patients whose condition requires immediate care. ED is staffed 24/7/365.   ED provides meaningful work with a wide variety of tasks.  There are lots of learning opportunities, a teamwork-oriented environment and plenty of excitement.  Change is constant and it can often be emotionally taxing and stressful.  One to two years of inpatient med/surg or critical care experience is preferred.
