About the Role
Join HighPoint Health with Ascension Saint Thomas as a Full-Time Certified Medical Assistant supporting our Premier Women's OB/GYN practice.
In this vital role, you'll provide both clinical and administrative support to ensure every patient receives compassionate, high-quality care in a collaborative and welcoming environment.
What You'll Do
Assist physicians and nurses with patient assessments, exams, and treatments
Perform basic diagnostic procedures and collect specimens for testing
Monitor and report any changes in patient condition to the clinical team
Maintain exam rooms, medical equipment, and supplies for readiness and cleanliness
Support the front office with scheduling, registration, and data entry
Ensure accurate and timely documentation of patient care
Qualifications
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent - Required
Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program or equivalent - Required
Licensure/Certification:
Active CCMA, CMA, or RMA credential - Required
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification - must be obtained within 60 days of hire
