Respiratory Care Practitioner

Status/FTE: FT / 0.8-1.0 FTE

Shift length: 12 hours

Start Time: 0700

Unit: Outpatient Extended Stay

Schedule Requirements (including weekends, holidays): Variable holidays and weekends.

Unit specific additional qualifications:

  • RRT, NPS, ACLS, PALS, BLS

A respiratory therapist that provides diagnostic and therapeutic techniques in all areas of the hospital, including the emergency department, adult critical care units, pediatrics, neonatal and med-surgical floors. 

Minimum Required:

  • Associate degree or higher from an approved and accredited program of Respiratory Care, RRT registered by the National Board for Respiratory Care, and a current Montana state respiratory therapy license.
  • American Heart Association BLS, PALS, and NRP within the first 6 months of hire.
  • Must be computer literate with experience using EMR.

Preferred / Desired:

  • Neonatal and pediatric experience preferred.
  • 2+ years’ experience with all ages, EEG, and PFT knowledge.
  • NPS, ACCS and Bachelors degree.

On Call / Weekend Requirements: Variable. One holiday per year and some weekends.
