More about our team

Join our 22-bed Progressive Care Unit (PCU)/Telemetry with a nurse to patient ratio of 1:5/6. We are staffed with Registered Nurses (RNs) and Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) and Monitor Techs providing care for patients for a mix of patients including Med/Surge. Our unit has 24/7 CNA coverage who work closely with the RNs as well as 24/7 cardiac monitoring. This role offers the opportunity to work in a face-paced environment with rapid patient turnover while delivering high-quality patient care in a strong team environment.

How you'll contribute

A Monitor Tech, who excels in this role:

  • Accurately identifies changes in patient conditions
  • Provides care appropriate to condition and age of the patient
  • Timely alerts nurses to change in patient conditions
  • Performs timely and appropriate documentation relating to medical necessity in the medical record

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous experience performing EKG's is desirable. Must pass the Arrhythmia monitoring exam prior to working as Monitor Tech.
  • Must complete a basic arrhythmia course within 30 days of hire.
  • Prior experience in data entry preferred, the employee must have the ability to understand, communicate and react effectively to the unique needs of adult and geriatric patients.
  • Basic Life Support certification is required within 30 days of hire.

  • One year of experience preferred
