Position Clinical Operations Supervisor / Physician Services
Definition

Responsible for supervising all clinical staff functions in the employed provider medical practices. Establishes best practices in clinical workflow across

Physician Practices. Responsible for ongoing clinical education and compliance with federal, state, and local guidelines. Will lead the employed physician practices efforts surrounding standardization of practices and population health initiatives in Physician Services practices. Work collaboratively with market leadership to attain performance targets with Accountable Care Organization (ACO) and Medicare Shared Savings Plan (MSSP). Actively contribute to quality monthly operational review. As new quality initiatives are identified, will lead local team to remain in compliance with quality programs.

General Duties

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Ensures the development and delivery of nursing education/competencies to all clinical staff.
  • Assists with developing specific departmental goals, standards, and objectives which directly support the strategic plan and vision of the organization.
  • Manages clinical staff relations including performance management, staff satisfaction, and conflict management.
  • Oversees clinical care essential to the assessment, promotion, maintenance, and restoration of patients' health and wellness.
  • Leads quality programs and assigns tasks as needed to ensure compliance and completion of documentation.
  • Oversees and assists in managing patient needs, complaints, and solutions to patient care problems.
  • Performs Mock inspections for each RHC to ensure compliance and inspection readiness. Provides updates/corrections to Market Director.
  • Updates RHC manuals with current emergency plans and performs table top exercises for each RHC. Report updates/corrections to Market Director.
  • Contributes/leads RHC quarterly meetings and Bi-Annual meetings.
  • Responsible for setting staffing guidelines in the clinics and working to ensure staffing levels are met.
  • Achieves clinical super user status for all clinical functions in current EHR.
  • Trains clinical staff to achieve customer service excellence.
  • Required to travel to multiple medical practices within the Jackson Purchase market.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Education: Graduate of a clinical training program. Graduate of a professional nursing program preferred.
Required Skills:
  • Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
  • Knowledge of current clinical practices.
  • Ability to plan, organize, prioritize, and direct the work of others.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Work, Excel, and Power Point)
Licenses/Certifications:
  • Licensure to practice nursing in the Commonwealth of Kentucky or compact state required.
  • Valid driver's license required.
Minimum Work Experience: Minimum of five (5) years of nursing experience required. Minimum two (2) years of supervisory experience preferred.
Position Variables: Supervised by: Market Manager, Regional Director
Employment Variables: Must be willing to flex schedule to work other shifts as needed and to work other than usual areas as needed, if qualified for duties that are required for that position.
