Job Type: Full-time | Night 12-hour shifts and 2 Weekends per month with Holiday rotation
Up to $5,000 bonus for eligible candidates

Join our Palliative Care/Medical-Surgical Unit, where teamwork, compassion, and patient-centered care are at the heart of everything we do. As a Nurse Technician, you will work alongside a dedicated team of experienced nurses and healthcare professionals who are committed to providing exceptional care to a diverse patient population.

As a Nurse Technician, you will gain valuable hands-on clinical experience while supporting nurses in delivering care to patients with a variety of medical and palliative care needs. This role offers an excellent opportunity to build foundational healthcare skills and expand your knowledge within a dynamic inpatient setting.

Our unit is staffed by a strong team of core employees, creating a stable and welcoming work environment with occasional support from the hospital Float Pool as needed.

How you'll contribute
A Nurse Technician (NT) who excels in this role:
- Participates in Patient Care Team's delivery of personalized, efficient care with respect for patient's spiritual and cultural differences.
- Consider factors related to safety, effectiveness and cost in delivery of patient care.
- Orients patient and family to room and call bell.
- Upon admission, obtain initial vital signs, height and weight.
- Records daily I & O, vital signs, and food intake into the electronic medical record.
- Transports patients via appropriate means in a safe, dignified manner. Adheres to patient activity restrictions.
- Establishes positive relationships with patients/families and reports patient/family concerns accurately and concisely to appropriate care team members.

What we're looking for
Applicants should possess High School Diploma or GED. Additional requirements include:
Completion of Nurse Aide Program or experience in related field or will provide on the job education and training
Basic Life Support or acquire within 3 months of hire
One year of acute care or one-year long-term care experience preferred
Certification preferred
